21.Dec.12 Introduction to seated and ambulant throws workshop
This introductory workshop will give coaches an understanding of the classifications relevant to ambulant and seated throws and the relevant basic technical model for each. It will also outline the sport specific rules and give coaches an understanding of the basic design features of throwing frames.

Athletics enthusiasts made their way from across the region to attend the 2012 England Athletics East Midlands Awards Ceremony at the Quorn Grange Hotel near Loughborough.

18.Jun.12 A busy quarter for Notts Athletic Network
The past quarter has been a busy one for Nottinghamshire Athletics Network (NAN). The network has expanded and has run training, events and seminars for coaches, athletes, officials and volunteers with a varied programme planned for the next few months.

05.Apr.12 82-year-old timekeeper crosses Olympic stadium finishing line
82-year-old timekeeper and athletics stalwart Jack Walters was lucky enough to win a trip to the Olympic stadium with his son and grandson last weekend. Jack was one of 5000 people who ran in the National Lottery Olympic 5 mile run, the first public event to be held at the brand new Olympic stadium.

Promoted by the Leicestershire Disability Athletics Group, a free workshop and training day is taking place on 11th March in Leicester. Coaches, teachers and athletes interested in athletics are welcome.
