Self-coached athletes and coaches of varying experience were welcomed to an evening at Saffron Lane stadium to a talk led by UKA endurance coach Alasdair Donaldson, and organised by the Leicestershire Vision 2020 Athletics Network, to focus on how to plan and prepare to peak for a race.

The weekend saw the third of four LCDP coach development events take place at Loughborough University. The workshop focussed on how coaches can train their athletes to keep calm under pressure and to be mentally tough not only in competition but all aspects of their athletics and personal lives.
