Startrack Athletics is back at Osterley Sports and Athletics Centre and over twenty five Olympic-inspired young athletes hit the track for five days of fun athletics last week. The week was action packed with lots of running, jumping and throwing plus some special Olympic-themed challenges.

At the end of the London 2012 Olympic opening ceremony, the long awaited for answer of who would light the main Olympic flame was revealed. With Legacy the word on everyone's lips, the cauldron was lit by seven up-and-coming young sportspeople including four track and field stars.

With the start of the 2012 Olympic Games in touching distance, it seemed fitting that on the weekend of the Olympic trials for spots on Team GB, that fairly new Kent based running club Petts Wood Runners - alongside the Bees Academy, would be introducing athletics to the next generations.
