    21.Sep.12 Ohuruogu to support World Marathon Challenge as 20,000 youngsters keep Olympic spirit alive

    Team GB athletics hero Christine Ohuruogu is leading thousands of schoolchildren from all over the world in a global ‘race against hunger’ next month in the World Marathon Challenge.On 16th October, World Food Day, over 20,000 children from 500 schools across the world will compete against each other in the World Marathon Challenge for Save the Children,

    The Final Open Meeting for Highgate Harriers wound up the track and field season for many.  Despite the sodden weather, the event was an unqualified success.

  • 13.Sep.12 Highgate Harriers Under 15's triumph in County

    Highgate Under 15 Boys won their Middlesex County Cross-Country Relay race at Hayes on Sunday (9th September) in fine style in a time of 31.56 with Shafteshury Barnet, Ealing Southall & Middlesex, Harrow, London Heathside and Thames Valley Harriers following them home.  The Highgate team was Ben Hatch (10.14); Alex Machin-Paley (10.59) and Terry Fawden (10.43).

    28.Aug.12 Summer Startrack in Ealing

    During July and August a number of Ealing Southall and Middlesex (ESM) younger athletes have played key roles in working with Active Ealing, the Borough of Ealing’s sports development team, to run three Startrack weeks at Perivale Park Athletics track.

    The English Federation of Disability Sport are encouraging everyone to champion participation at all levels and “Pass the baton”.  And the poster produced by EFDS features Ben Rowlings – Playground to Podium and Coventry Godiva athlete - will be displayed across 9 London Underground Stations.
