    Run! logoNewham Athletics Network along with one of its partners Newham & Essex Beagles Athletics Club has set up a weekly Disability Athletics Club which is open to all disabled Secondary School pupils in East London. The club is running out of Brampton Manor Academy with 11 of their pupils attending the first few sessions.

    The Lea Valley Athletics Network is sponsoring a series of High Jump Training Days to be held at Lee Valley Athletics Centre, with sessions ideal for coaches new to the event.  Coaches are encouraged to attend with their athletes or simply for their own development.

    The London region was amongst the winners at the ‘Hall of Fame’ evening. The night saw volunteers who provide such an invaluable service to the sport honoured in the National Volunteer Awards as some of the biggest names in English athletics were inducted into the Hall of Fame.

    roadrunning legsThe National 6 and 4 Road Relays – Sutton Park, Birmigham. While Aldershot, Farnham and District were busy retaining both their men and women’s titles, London clubs were also hard at work at Sutton Park, Birmingham.  The 2011 competition saw 75 clubs taking part in what was at times a fierce contest.
