  • 22.Dec.10 Disabled athletes enjoy successful afternoon

    Over 100 disabled youngsters from across the Lea Valley Athletics Network area and beyond descended on Lee Valley Athletics Centre for what turned out to be a very successful and enjoyable afternoon.

  • London Strategy Plan

    06.Dec.10 Run! Project for inner London launched

    England Athletics is delighted to announce a new project, supported by the London Mayor's Office, to help develop the sport of athletics in the inner London Boroughs. This project aims to take the sport to the parts of our capital where there is currently little or no provision. It aims to increase participation, widen access and unearth raw talent.

  • 24.Oct.10 “10 out of 10” for Lea Valley Network

    More than 130 youngsters between school years four to nine from the Lea Valley Network Clubs recent ly took part in the first of three ‘10 out of 10’ Network competitions.  The event also saw over 60 young volunteers from the clubs offering their services for roles ranging from team managers and officials, to announcer and catering.

  • 22.Oct.10 London Region Volunteer Awards announced

    We are pleased that we are now able to announce the names of all the Regional Awards winners for the London Region. The 2010 England Athletics National Awards programme sees volunteers recognised for their contributions in supporting the development of the sport.

  • 14.Oct.10 Lea Valley Network set up Race Walking Training Days

    A number of winter training sessions for new and experienced race walkers will be held at Lee Valley Athletics Centre over the winter.

  • 21.Sep.10 Disability Workshop a great success

    Lea Valley McCain Athletics Network held its first Disability Workshop this week, which was a great success. The event was attended by a broad spread of interested coaches, team managers and officials hailing from all 4 member clubs and also a LVAC volunteer, who all wanted to find out more about disability athletics.
