22.May.13 Chris Tomlinson jumps in to support local club's track project
Olympic long jumper Chris Tomlinson has given his support to the campaign by a North East athletics club to build a new training track and field event facilities. Sedgefield Harriers has launched its ‘Back the Track’ project, revealing ambitious plans to secure a synthetic track for the town.

02.May.13 Gateshead Harriers & AC Achieve Club Accreditation
Gateshead Harriers & AC was presented with the Accredited Club status certificate at a recent Gateshead Athletics Network Quadkids competition by Nick Ridgeon (Club and Coach Support Officer for Tyne & Wear and Cumbria).

Alnwick Harriers was recently presented with its Accredited Club status certificate by England Athletics. Coach Coordinator and Alnwick Juniors coach Brenda Mallen was on hand to receive the ‘Clubmark’ certificate from England Athletics CCSO John Stacey.

The last LCDP workshop of this winter will be held this Saturday 23rd March at Gateshead College Academy for Sport. This is a free workshop and an opportunity not to be missed!

12.Mar.13 North Shields Poly athlete successes over the weekend
Sprinter Jenny Graham led the way for North Shields Poly at the North Eastern Counties' Athletics Association Indoor Championships at Gateshead Stadium. A number of other athletes placed well, while at the North Eastern Counties Royal Signals Road Relay Championships there were also successes.

18.Jan.13 NECAA Indoor Championships 2013: entries close 2nd February
The North East Indoor T&F Championships will be held at Gateshead College Academy for Sport on February 16th & 17th, and entries close on Saturday 2nd February so make sure you get yours in if you want to take part.
