20.Dec.11 NOTAN host Schools Sportshall Competition

For the last half term the North of Tyne Athletics Network (NOTAN) have been working with 5 primary schools, coaching their year 3 and 4 children. It has been a very successful term with sessions that were fun and enjoyable for the children giving them a taster of athletics.

A free Sportivate Athletics six week programme is to be offered to young athletes in the North East.

NOTAN Athletics Network's second newsletter is now online for download. The newsletter aims to let everyone know what's been happening over the past few months.
16.Nov.11 Sprints and Horizontal Jumps workshop at Gateshead

Gateshead Stadium will be the locaton for a Sprints & Horizontal Jumps workshop being held on Saturday 26th November as part of the North East Local Coach Development Programme (LCDP).
09.Nov.11 North of Tyne Network host a volunteer recruitment event

This month NOTAN are holding a volunteers' recruitment evening at Northumbria University and the network hopes to recruit volunteers from all different backgrounds and experience. The event will explain and offer all the ways people can volunteer within the network.
08.Nov.11 NOTAN Clubs on their way to securing Clubmark

Last week the 4 NOTAN clubs; Claremont Road Runners, Heaton Harriers, North Shields Poly A.C. and Wallsend Harriers came together to attend a clubmark workshop.
