  • 23.Aug.12 Crowborough Runners relive the Mo-ment

    Crowborough Runners say "Everyone can Run!" and they meant to prove it at their free Athletics Community morning event held at the weekend. 25 athletes of all ages ran 800m, 1500m or 3k.

    22.Aug.12 Marshall Milton Keynes AC living the legacy - and Greg Rutherford "joins in"

    The national Join In programme’s Battle Bus tour included a stop at Marshall Milton Keynes Athletics Club during the weekend which saw a number of Athletics Club Community Days taking place across the country.  And Greg Rutherford was on hand to inspire his local club's youngsters.

  • 20.Aug.12 Running group participants try to beat Mo and Bolt

    Drayton and Sutton Courtenay Running Groups were two running groups in Oxfordshire to host community events.  One race was seeing how far they could get in the time it took Bolt to win his 100 and 200m medals.  And at the other end of the scale teams of 4 and 5 attempted to complete a relay over 5000m in the time it took Mo Farah to win one of his golds.

  • 13.Aug.12 Young people receive complimentary Olympic and Paralympic Games tickets

    10 young people from Oxfordshire received complimentary tickets through Ticketshare. Some have now used their tickets as a hugely successful Olympic Games has ended and some look forward to experiencing the Paralympics in a couple of weeks.
