Over 30 people attended the South East runbritain Road Show at the K2 Leisure Centre in Crawley in July. The audience represented some of the most experienced and knowledgeable endurance race directors, officials and administrators from the area with representatives from 6 counties.

24.Aug.10 County Assessment Days identify talented young disabled athletes
Throughout June and July fourteen County Athlete Assessment Days have taken place across the South region. The events have been organised as part of the national Playground to Podium framework to identify young disabled pupils in schools.

Reading AC recently grabbed hold of the opportunity to utilize the skills and expertise of flying coach, Mike Leonard. Nine coaches from Reading AC took part in the two flying coach visits with 20 athletes participating in the sessions.

02.Aug.10 Ashford AC Throws Summer School success
A project to encourage more school based throwers to join an athletics club is proving a success. Several young athletes attended a second taster coaching session led by Dave Fox, a L3 throws coach and Mark Chapman, the Kent Throws Development & Monitoring Co-ordinator.
