    17.Jan.13 Race Walking Day for coaches, athletes and officials

    There will be a Race Walking Coaching Day jointly organised by The Race Walking Association (Southern Area) & Kent County A.A. to be held in TOnbrige on 17th February.

  • 15.Jan.13 Supporting coaches workshop: 6th February

    With London 2012 encouraging many more to get involved in Athletics, it’s important that we take this opportunity to recruit more coaches and retain existing coaches that dedicate so much time to developing athletes.  Anyone interested in helping their club to recruit more coaches are invited to attend a Supporting Coaches workshop.

    14.Jan.13 EDM Play Day: 17th February

    Precision Athletics are running the first 2013 session of their popular "Play Days" next month.  The EDM is the Electronic Distance Measuring device used by field judges at meetings and this is a good chance to get to grips with EDM equipment in an informal setting.

    There are regional Assocations for officials in England to join if they wish.  Fees are minimal and the Associations are run by volunteers to help support and develop officiating throughout the country.  Whatever your level or experience, why not support your local association and join this year?

  • 24.Dec.12 Time to Listen - a course for Club Welfare Officers: 6th March

    An Athletics-specific safeguarding training workshop will be held on 6th March in Guildford. It is targeted specifically at volunteers in a club welfare role. It builds on basic awareness and focuses on implementation in the club environment.
