06.Dec.09 South West Cross-Country Championships
The South West Cross-Country Championships will take place at Bicton College, Exmouth, Devon on Sunday 10th January 2010. This event draws runners from across the South West, and incorporates an inter-county event as well as club team championships. Closing date for entries is 18th December.

04.Nov.09 SW Runners Win Birmingham Cross Country Challenge
Stroud and District’s Tom Curr who won national titles at both 1500 and 3000 metres on the track this summer as well as winning the Schools International Cross Country at Bangor in March convincingly won the Men’s Under 17 race Birmingham Cross Country Challenge by almost half a minute.

16.Sep.09 South West take second place at UK School Games
The South West team frustratingly came within just one point of winning the team title against Northern Ireland, Scotland, Wales and eight other English regions at the fourth annual UK School Games in Cardiff.

16.Sep.09 Dartmoor Vale 2009 - marathon, half marathon and 10k
The Dartmoor Vale 2009 is being organised by the Women's Running Network and the Rotary Club of Dartmoor Vale. There will be a Marathon, Half Marathon, 10K and 1 mile fun run. The event will also play host to the South West Road Running Championships comprising County Teams from Avon, Cornwall, Devon, Dorset, Gloucestershire, Somerset and Wiltshire.

21.Aug.09 Bristol and West AC Win Their First Midland League Title
Consecutive victories in the middle two fixtures at Rugby and Bath after finishing last in their first match at Coventry laid the foundation for Bristol and West AC to win their first Midland League Division One title since the club’s name was rebranded six years ago.

20.Aug.09 SW team selected for UK School Games
The UK School Games will take place in Cardiff on 5th and 6th September. SW Region have published their proposed team for this event.
