09.Feb.10 Gemma shows her mettle to win her first Midland title
Gemma Steel recovered sufficiently from a painful bout of tonsillitis to lift her first Midland Cross Country title at Stafford Common. She implicitly followed her coach Roy Stowell’s instructions and approaching the ditch for the last time, dug deep and established an advantage which she maintained to the finish ahead of her competitors.
