  • 28.Nov.11 Orion Centenary Celebrations

    Past and present members of Orion Harriers celebrated the club’s centenary at the West Essex Golf Club on Saturday night. Formed in Hackney in 1911 as a cross country club Orion formed a female section in 1986 and a Junior section in the 1990s. The club currently has over 300 senior members and around the same number of juniors. Training is in Epping Forest and at Walthamstow track.

  • 28.Nov.11 Kent Endurance programme dates confirmed

    The Kent Endurance programme through to mid 2012 has now been released.  The programme consists of a series of workshops for coaches and athletes.

  • 26.Nov.11 England Athletics and UKA are moving offices

    England Athletics and UKA are both to move offices to new premises at Alexander Stadium, Birmingham, from 25-28 November. Email and telephone communication will be affected during the move. We apologise for any disruption this causes.

  • Road Relays at 120

    25.Nov.11 Final Race Organisers' Course of the series

    The final Race Organisers' Course in the second series will take place at Gravesend on 8 January.  This is a great opportunity to further your knowledge and build your confidence by looking at how road race organisation is developing.

    With the popularity, both locally and nationally, of the Bristol and Bath Half Marathons increasing each year, it seemed a good idea for TeamBathAC and the Avon Athletics Network to collaborate on a pilot half Marathon Training day in Bath on Sunday 20th Nov 2011.

    24.Nov.11 SYAN Coaches support action for blind people event

    15 Actionnaires clubs from the North of England attended an action packed day of athletics at the EIS, Sheffield. This event was open to visually impaired children between the ages 4-16 registered within the 15 clubs.
