Sharron Rooney may have hung up her running shoes, but her love of the sport means that she continues to create opportunities for others to run, in her home borough of Walthamstow, NE London. Sharron Rooney is a lady who likes a challenge! To date, she has completed an impressive 12 marathons and over 70 half marathons, not to mention innumerable 5 and 10Ks.

Last summer, the UK’s first Join In was hailed as the country’s biggest celebration of local sport. This year it is back and you can use Join In to publicise your club’s events.
