    The updated England Athletics Selection Policy for the 2010 Commonwealth Games, Delhi, is now available in the Commonwealth Games section of our website. England Athletics will use this policy to nominate athletes to Commonwealth Games England (CGE) who ratify the selections.

    Not content with one UK age best record, Rotherham Harriers Alex Kiwomya rewrote both sprint records at the Aviva England Athletics Indoor Under 15 Championships in impressive fashion at the National Indoor Arena in Birmingham.

    A chance meeting between Tom Arkell at Esher College and Brian Thomas - who previously worked for QuadKids - resulted in a massive QuadKids event with a difference – 200 college students competed for their tutor groups in an inter-form competition.

    Gayton Junior School from Derby West was the winning team at this year’s East Midlands Airport Derbyshire Year 5/6 Sportshall Athletics Finals.  In the closest final ever, the team from Gayton Junior School took the winners’ trophy with 300 points – just four more points than closest rivals.

    The Yorkshire & Humberside team for the London Mini Marathon - which will be held on 25th April - is being selected based on the County Schools' Championships, Yorkshire & Humberside AAs Championships, Northern, National, Inter Counties and English Schools' Championships.

    The Pennine Lancashire 5K Road Race will be incorporating the England Athletics 5K Road Champs as well as a number of other prestigious competitions, and attracting several overseas National Teams plus the Commonwealth Select Team.
