    27.Nov.12 European development opportunities for athletes

    England Athletics are pleased to announce that they will again be sending a number of small development groups of athletes to compete in Europe ahead of the European Trials.  The three European indoor events are as in previous years, those held in, Bratislava, Vienna and Linz.

    The Liddiard Trophy Cross Country Cup was held at Fryent Park, Kingsbury on Saturday, the latest occurance of the event that has been held by Queens Park Harriers since 1947.   Ealing's Mike Barratt, who died at the age of 80 on the 15th of November won this race ten times and for 21 years consecutively he was in the first three home.

    The England Athletics Indoor Combined Events championships takes place at the EIS in Sheffield on 5th and 6th January 2013.  This event incorporates the MCAA, SEAA, Northern Athletics Championships and the Welsh Championships.  Timetable and information now available and online entry open.

    Deaf UK Athletics (DUKA) have announced the qualifying standards for the Deaflympic Games to be held in Sofia, Bulgaria next year.
