    Run! logoOn Sunday 9th October Young people aged 11-16 took part in the Royal Parks Foundation Pulse3K race which began in Hyde Park and heads west into Kensington Gardens. Runners followed a scenic route past the Albert Memorial and Serpentine Gallery before entering the final stretch and finishing under the main Half Marathon gantry to the cheers of the crowd.

    Wendy ZadigueNewham and Essex Beagles Young Athlete Wendy Zadigue is voted Deputy Young Mayor of Newham. A total of 10,082 young people from across Newham cast their vote and elected Wendy Zadigue as the new Deputy Young Mayor of the host borough of the 2012 Games.

    Herne Hill Harriers Club LogoHerne Hill Harriers scored a 1-2-3 in the opening fixture of the East Surrey League on 29 October providing a comfortable team win for the south London athletics club. Benedict Whitby, a former commonwealth runner, Brian Wilder and Keith Newton took the first three places with Sam Knight in 8th completing the winning scoring men's team.

    Run! logoWho Run the World? - RUN! GIRLS! Hammersmith and Fulham Activator, Lekeisha Wilson has set up a new session at Linford Christie Stadium called RUN! Girls. This session is held every Thursday for all girls in the borough to come along and take part.
