Herne Hill Harriers went into our final UK Women's Athletics League match at the top of Division 3, the 4th tier when a Premier division is taken into account, with the slenderest of leads akin to a football goal difference over our 2 closest rivals, Crawley and Reading.

08.Aug.11 World’s elite ascends on the capital for diamond spectacle
London Diamond League - Aviva London grand Prix 2011. The two day event took place on the 5th – 6th August and was for the vast majority the last opportunity for race preparations prior to the world championships in Daegu, Korea (27th August - 4th September 2011).

03.Aug.11 Run! team up with local Athletics Club for People’s Day event
9th April 2011, saw England Athletics; Run! team up with local Athletics Club; S Factor to organise and deliver an access event at one of Lewisham’s biggest annual festival, People’s Day. The stall had activities such as speed bounce, standing long jump and target throw- being the most popular of all the events.

One of the capitals shining lights; Perri Shakes-Drayton (coached by: Chris Zah) completed a historic double at the Aviva UK Trials and Championships when she took the 400m hurdles gold, matching the medal she won over the flat distance just 24 hours earlier.
