  • 03.Nov.10 Network cross country event inspires others

    Rotherham Harriers, part of the South Yorkshire Athletics Network have helped to organise a successful third schools cross country championship event and identify promising young athletes - which has inspired fellow network partner Doncaster AC to follow suit in their local area.

  • Network Berkshire launch

    02.Nov.10 Super 8 off to a super start with Network Berkshire!

    Network Berkshire launched in style earlier this month with a Super 8 competition held at Thames Valley Athletics Centre. The competition, which was organised as a joint venture with the Berkshire Competition Managers team, attracted 7 teams from 6 local schools and a guest team including the chair of Network Berkshire itself bringing participant numbers to an impressive 112.

    02.Nov.10 International XC fixtures announced

    The English Cross Country Association has decided on the programme of international fixtures for 2010/11.  England will send Teams of 4 Junior Women, 4 Junior Men, 4 Senior Women and 4 Senior Men to 4 events - in Belgium, Spain and Northern Ireland.

    UKA has announced those athletes invited onto the World Class Performance Programme (WCPP) for 2010/2011, the penultimate competitive season before the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
