15.May.13 High standards at Great School Sprint Birmingham
The Great School Sprint Birmingham took place at the Great Barr School in Birmingham. Over 100 children took part from seven secondary Schools. The final will take place at the BT Great City Games in Manchester which will also include the first ever Great School Para Sprint competition.

08.May.13 £150million funding boost for Primary Schools
Schools will receive a funding boost of £150 million per annum for the academic years 2013/14 and 2014/2015. The money will go directly to primary school headteachers to spend on improving the quality of sport and PE for all their children.

Athletes from North Somerset stole the show on the weekend at a competition which saw them beat host club Team Bath at their first Youth Development League (Under 13/15’s) match of the season.

A workshop for the Jumps coaches on the Local Coach Development Programme in Hampshire and South Surrey gained lift-off last weekend, after being postponed from March.

02.May.13 Gateshead Harriers & AC Achieve Club Accreditation
Gateshead Harriers & AC was presented with the Accredited Club status certificate at a recent Gateshead Athletics Network Quadkids competition by Nick Ridgeon (Club and Coach Support Officer for Tyne & Wear and Cumbria).
