National sports equality organisation StreetGames are inviting athletics clubs to be part of a nationwide scheme alongside other sports clubs to provide a Street Games festival for young people in their community - and in turn create an opportunity for clubs to reach out to potential new teenage participants.

Leeds City AC’s James Walsh moved clear of two international endurance runners including an Olympic silver medallist in the record books by accomplishing his fifth Midland Cross Country title in seven years in very familiar territory round Newbold Comyn at Leamington Spa.

Coaches in the South Yorkshire and Humber region were introduced to the new Athletics 365 programme developed by England Athletics and seen as the future of developing young athletes across the whole spectrum of athletics events.

Following the successes of last year, the Avon Sportshall teams made a clean sweep of the SWest Regional finals last weekend at Torbay, winning all four team events to represent the South West at the Aviva National Finals in Birmingham on 3rd April 2011.
