The weekend at Bedford contained a full programme of athletics, with the England Combined Events for the Senior, U20 and U18 age groups, a Throws Home Countries International on the Saturday, plus an Open U18, and an Open disability programme of events which was well supported both on the track and in the field.

02.Jun.13 A record-breaking day in Bedford
It was a record breaking day in Bedford with Hannah Cockroft gaining a world record time in the 200m, on this occasion with a legal wind strength. Isaac Towers, a young T34 wheelchair racer also achieved a new European record in his 1500m, Bethany Woodward improved her own European Record and Morgan Lake a World Best in the U18 Heptathlon. 30.May.13 Volunteer role: British Sign Language support (nationwide)
England Athletics are currently working with the National Deaf Children's Society (NDCS) and UK Deaf Sport to increase participation by deaf people in athletics. Part of this work is to develop a pool of volunteer interpreters to support our coach education programmes and activation projects.
