12.Mar.12 Tom Pink event produces thrilling relays in Sheffield

On Saturday 3rd March 2012, the AAA Tom Pink Relays again took place at the EIS in Sheffield in conjunction with the England Athletics Combined Event Age Group Championships.

More than 300 children in the under 11 and under 13 age groups took part in a series of thrilling relays and field event challenges.

2012 Tom Pink in SheffieldThe athletes enjoyed taking part at such a prestigious venue alongside champions from the older age groups with many of them running on an indoor track for the first time.

Spurred on by their excited spectators and team mates they produced some great performances and the full results are attached here.

Special congratulations go to Callum Orange of Spenborough AC who set a new record in the under 11 boys' standing triple jump, jumping a fantastic 6.56m.
