The bank holiday weekend saw the climax to the British athletics league with many London clubs in the thick of the action in nearly all five divisions. The premiership saw their final match held at Newham & Essex Beagles, where City of Manchester were crowned champions of the British Athletics League's Premiership division for the third time in their history. -
23.Aug.11 British League action comes to McMillan Stadium before its Olympic facelift
This Saturday sees the last match to be held at the McMillan Stadium before it closes to be prepared for use by athletes before the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

18.Aug.11 Good News, parkrun is coming to Westminster!
England Athletics Activator Ellie Hutchinson is excited to be working in partnership with parkrun and Paddington Recreational Ground where a new parkrun event will be starting at the end of September.
parkrun is a free, fun, inclusive to all, 5k community running event. Runners sign up on the website once in their life, then just turn up and run at their chosen park on a Saturday morning from 9am. -
16.Aug.11 Herne Hill on course for promotion
Herne Hill Harriers have moved four points clear at the top of Division 2 of the men’s British Athletics League and are now firmly on course to win the league title and promotion with only one match remaining.

15.Aug.11 Disability Athletics Track & Throws Meeting
Kingston and Poly Harriers and AC are organising a disability athletics meeting including 100m, 200m 400m 800m 1500m, seated throws for Shot, Javelin and Discus and ambulant throws for Shot and Javelin. There will be EDM, photofinish and electronic timing.
