    20.Nov.12 South of England Athletics Officials' Association AGM: this Sunday

    The South of England Athletics Officials' Association (SEAOA) will be holding its' annual AGM in Eton this Sunday.  The Association are keen to make some changes to their constitution, which will give more flexibility as regards the date of the AGM, so a quorum this time is vital.

  • 20.Nov.12 Mike Barratt 1932-2012

    England Athletics was saddened to hear of the passing of Mike Barratt.
    Mike, who was born on 27th October 1932, first joined Ealing Harriers in 1948 and gave more than 60 years of service to the club over a period which saw club mergers changing the club first to Ealing & Southall AC and then Ealing, Southall & Middlesex AC.

    Two Olympians were recently honoured at Kent County Athletics Association's very own awards evening - the first President’s Award dinner. Several Olympic Officials together with Gamesmakers and London Ambassadors and many of Kent County’s Volunteers joined Jack Green, Adam Gemili at the celebratory evening.

    Over 30 new athletics officials benefited from attending a Level 2 qualification course led by a team of UK Athletics tutors who had a very busy summer contributing their time and expertise to the Olympics and Paralympics success story.
