30.Aug.11 Hampshire Wheelchair Racing Group Launched
England Athletics and the Hampshire McCain Athletics Network held a successful Launch of the Hampshire Wheelchair Racing Group at Winchester Sports Stadium on Sunday 21st August.

22.Aug.11 1500m Steeplechase Development Races in Kent
Two 1500m steeplechase development races will be held on 3rd September 2011 as part of the Julie Rose Track and Field Games 2011.

In association with the Kent McCain Athletics Network, Kent athletics are holding a development session for all throws events.

15.Aug.11 Disability Athletics Track & Throws Meeting
Kingston and Poly Harriers and AC are organising a disability athletics meeting including 100m, 200m 400m 800m 1500m, seated throws for Shot, Javelin and Discus and ambulant throws for Shot and Javelin. There will be EDM, photofinish and electronic timing.

11.Aug.11 South County Athlete Assessment Days 2011 identify 354 athletes
Between April and July twelve County Athlete Assessment Days (CAADs) have taken place across the South area. The events have been organised as part of the national Playground to Podium framework in which young disabled pupils are identified in schools.
