04.Mar.13 Local Coaches gather for Throws Workshops
Coaches on the Local Coach Development Programme have benefitted from a workshop on the Biomechanics of Throws, presented by Mark Chapman. Two weeks later, the coaches reconvened to cover the biomechanics of Javelin techniques with Bron Carter.

25.Feb.13 Support for Coaching Coordinators across Berkshire, Oxfordshire, and Bucks
Coaching Coordinators from across Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Berkshire attended two recent ‘Supporting Coaches: A Guide to Recruiting, Developing and Retaining Coaches’ events, which offered an opportunity to learn more about ways to recruit and further support coaches at their clubs.

14.Feb.13 A practical "preparing for competition day" workshop in Eton
18 coaches from across Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Berkshire travelled to the Thames Valley Athletics Centre in Eton for last weekend’s LCDP events including 15 LCDP coaches, two NCDP coaches and one young coach who recently attended the National Young Coaches Academy.

As we move toward the start of our 2013-17 delivery plan from 1st April, we are now recruiting two new CCSO positions across the South and the new London Area teams.

28.Jan.13 St Mary’s EPACC/England Athletics marathon workshop
As part of the ongoing support of London Virgin Marathon and England Athletics, St Mary’s EPACC had organised a Marathon workshop to be delivered on Saturday 19th January 2013. Unfortunately due to the weather this was postponed - and the organisers are unable to reschedule due to fixture changes and the availability of presenters.

There will be a Race Walking Coaching Day jointly organised by The Race Walking Association (Southern Area) & Kent County A.A. to be held in TOnbrige on 17th February.
