18 coaches from across Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Berkshire travelled to the Thames Valley Athletics Centre in Eton for last weekend’s LCDP events including 15 LCDP coaches, two NCDP coaches and one young coach who recently attended the National Young Coaches Academy.

12.Feb.13 New talented athlete support scheme in Surrey
Active Surrey is starting a new talented athlete support scheme to support more Surrey athletes to make it to world class level. It offers for £20 a year, free unlimited access for athletes to 3 training facilities (including gym, pool, courts, track etc).

On Sunday 27th January the second of three Parallel Success Coach and Athlete Talent Introduction Days took place in the South. The event was held at Newham Indoor Athletics Centre and was organised by England Athletics in partnership with UKA.

The South of England Athletics Officials' Association held its annual conference on Sunday and got a great turnout of officials from all disciplines and of different levels to attend workshops, network and listen to guest speaker Stuart Storey.

31.Jan.13 K&P AC Open Throws Meeting, Disability County and Open T&F champs
The 6th and 7th April sees a triple competition hosted by Kingston and Poly AC; the K&P AC Open Throws Meeting is open to able bodied throwers age U15 and above, the Surrey Disability Track and Field County Championships and the Open Disability Track and Field Meeting for people who do not live in or who were not born in Surrey.
