On Saturday 9th March the final event in the series of Parallel Success Coach and Athlete Talent Introduction Days took place in the South. The event was held at Chelmsford Sport and Athletics Centre and was organised by England Athletics in partnership with British Athletics.

Over 20 Essex coaches were able to learn from one of the all-time greats of British middle-distance running as Eamonn Martin looked back on his momentous career some 20 years after he made a stunning marathon debut to win the 1993 London event.

06.Mar.13 Ambulant and seated throws workshop: 30th March
Alison O’Riordan and Bronwin Carter will be running an introductory workshop which will give coaches an understanding of the classifications relevant to ambulant and seated throws and the relevant basic technical model for each.

When Watford Borough Council took the decision to invest in their local athletic stadium, Woodside, they took the opportunity to ensure access to the facility was open to all members of the community.

01.Feb.13 Endurance hub event encouraging
The England Athletics Local Coach Development Programme held an endurance hub event at Lee Valley Athletics Centre. Hosted and chaired by Area Coach Mentor David Chalfen the session was presented by successful local coach Richard Thurston of Woodford Green and Essex Ladies.
