All clubs rely heavily on volunteers to help grease and oil the machinery that keeps them operating. Clubs have also relied heavily, in the past, on local schools to provide the talent that our volunteer coaches and team managers have fashioned into champions.

The Birmingham McCain Athletics Network is proud to announce triple Olympian Christina Boxer has been appointed as the Chair for the Network. The triple Olympian and COmmonwealth Gold medallist will represent the collective voice of the clubs within the Birmingham Network.

The Hereford and Worcester McCain Athletics Network held a very successful Mental Toughness Workshop, welcoming ex-international and former Olympian Spencer Duval to deliver a workshop on the fundamentals of sports psychology.

Despite the short notice and the obvious difficulties of revision, exams, and work commitments the Throws Workshop organised by the Birmingham McCain Athletics Network had a total of 20 people turn up for the first of our throws workshops which proved to be a great success.
