15.May.13 High standards at Great School Sprint Birmingham
The Great School Sprint Birmingham took place at the Great Barr School in Birmingham. Over 100 children took part from seven secondary Schools. The final will take place at the BT Great City Games in Manchester which will also include the first ever Great School Para Sprint competition.

08.Apr.13 Job vacancy: UK Athletics Coach wanted (Birmingham Schools)
Looking for a UK Athletics Coach to run a series of 5-6 specific Special Educational Needs Athletics sessions beginning across the city after Easter. Sessions are 1 hour after school. Some Coaching Assistant volunteers to help support in these sessions are also needed.

06.Mar.13 West Midlands region Mini London Marathon teams announced
The West Midlands region recently held trials for the Virgin Money Giving Mini London Marathon representative teams. Races were over 3 miles on traffic free roads and the first five finishers in each race were selected as the ‘Team’.

27.Feb.13 NIA sees excitement of Tom Pink Relays
The Tom Pink Relays and field events challenge took place recently at the National Indoor Arena in Birmingham, on the same track that saw the British Athletics Grand Prix a few days previously.

25.Feb.13 Disability Sprints and Jumps workshop:17th March
An introductory workshop will give coaches an understanding of the classifications relevant to ambulant running and jumping and the relevant basic technical model for each. It will take place at the Alexander Stadium on 17th March.

14.Feb.13 Reminder - 3rd West Mids Coach Development session: 2nd March
Just a quick reminder that the third West Mids Coach Development session takes place on the morning of Saturday 2nd March at the HiPAC/Indoor Area at Alexander stadium, Birmingham between 10am & 1pm, registration at 9.45am. All coaches and teachers from anywhere in England are welcome.
