The Duchy Athletics Network has been very busy over the last few weeks hosting and delivering a number of varied and exciting workshops, plus it saw the final Sportshall event of a winter series end with an awards ceremony at Carn Brea.

After being invited to Hayle Runners' New Member Induction Evening, Truro Running Club officials were keen to do the same at their own club as soon as possible, and this came to fruition recently, with its first ever New Member Induction evening.

The Duchy Athletics Network are hosting a umber of coaching workshops over the following weeks. The workshops cover various throws, jumps, endurance and mentoring sessions and are for coaches who are welcome to bring 1 or 2 athletes with them.

With the half term break just starting, the cold and crisp morning did not perturb the large number of enthusiastic coaches and athletes heading for the Avon Athletics Network - Throwers Workshop, held at the University of Bath.

29.Nov.12 Network and college host fantastic coaching workshop
Last weekend saw Tavistock Community College host a pod coaching session in conjunction with Armada Network for Jumps, Speed and Endurance. National Coach Development Programme Coaches Rob Linskill (jumps) Viv Matthews (endurance) and Alan Denyer (speed) delivered a group coaching session to over 30 local coaches.
