This fantastic evening celebrated the clubs, coaches and volunteers that make athletics one of the top sports in the county in terms of participation. This now annual event was a celebration of the support within the region over the last 12 months and also the success of the award winners.

We are pleased to announce the Yorkshire & Humber Award Evening will take place on Wednesday 12th October at Wentbridge House Hotel in Pontefract, West Yorkshire.

And we at England Athletics want to ensure that we, and the sport as a whole gives them the recognition they deserve! So whether it is your coach, your club, an official or another volunteer make sure that you nominate them for one of our awards!
25.May.11 Ilkley Harrier's Junior Volunteer Training Programme

Over the last few years several of Ilkley Harriers' older juniors have helped out at the athletics sessions each week. At the end of 2010 the club decided to give all these junior volunteers the opportunity to gain a 'real' qualification that would not only be useful on a CV but also provide leadership skills for everyday life.
