West Cheshire AC was one of four clubs that had been short-listed for the Club of the Year Award at the Cheshire West and Chester Sports Awards Ceremony held on Friday at the Winsford Lifestyle Centre. Dennis Wall was a very proud chairman when to his surprise and delight West Cheshire AC won!

21.Feb.13 High Jump workshop with Graham Ravenscroft and Mike Holmes: 17th March
Top coaches Graham Ravenscroft and Mike Holmes will be running a free high jump workshop in Liverpool on 17th March as part of the LCDP programme, open to all coaches interested in this topic.

01.Feb.13 Disability Inclusion Training pilot event adds value to coaching repertoire
The first Disability Inclusion Training pilot took place over the weekend at Sport City Manchester in conjunction with Greater Sport who kindly provided funding. Paul Moseley and Pete Moore were on hand to tutor the course and put the attendees through their paces.

30.Jan.13 Introduction to Ambulant Sprints and Jumps: 9th February
On 9th February an introductory workshop will provide coaches with an understanding of the classifications for ambulant running and jumping along with the relevant basic technical model for each. Everyone is welcome to this free event.

25.Jan.13 Talent ID Day best yet!
Last Sunday saw the most successful Talent ID day take place. With over 70 people in attendance Sport City was buzzing with activity. On hand were Paralympic Silver Medallist Graeme Ballard, 5 time Paralympian Dan West, and specialist coaches Peter Wyman, Keith Hunter, Hayley Ginn, Bob Halliwell and Graham Pilkington.

18.Jan.13 Coach Education Diary Support workshop: 4th March
A successful workshop was developed and delivered in Manchester during December 2012, designed to support coaches who are currently undertaking their coaching qualification (Athletics Coach, Children’s Coach, or Coach in Running Fitness).
