10.Jun.13 NOTAN's junior athletes get off to a flying start
Track and field events for NOTAN’s junior athletes got off to a flying start with our first Quad kids event on the 14th April. Young athletes braved huge winds to battle down the track and into the long jump pit but had great fun in the process!

Wallsend Harriers were the first club to benefit from the kind donation of money from the RW Mann trust to help raise money for their Terry O’Gara race held at Wallsend. Not only was there a road race, for the first time there was also a fun run so the whole community could take part.

Olympic long jumper Chris Tomlinson has given his support to the campaign by a North East athletics club to build a new training track and field event facilities. Sedgefield Harriers has launched its ‘Back the Track’ project, revealing ambitious plans to secure a synthetic track for the town.

Gateshead Harriers & AC was presented with the Accredited Club status certificate at a recent Gateshead Athletics Network Quadkids competition by Nick Ridgeon (Club and Coach Support Officer for Tyne & Wear and Cumbria).

Alnwick Harriers was recently presented with its Accredited Club status certificate by England Athletics. Coach Coordinator and Alnwick Juniors coach Brenda Mallen was on hand to receive the ‘Clubmark’ certificate from England Athletics CCSO John Stacey.
