The North West are pleased to announce their winter programme of coach development workshops and this year we have collaborated with the Athletics Networks to ensure more tailored workshops, focusing on each individual networks priorities along with our own.

With the Athletics Networks also focusing some of their work around coach development, we have worked together to ensure both England Athletics and the Networks cover all the topics that have been identified by all parties, so that each component of the overall coaching programme in the North West complements the others.

This year the workshops are county-based with a combination of generic and event-specific activity.  Workshops will be led by qualified coaches or professionals and will be tailored around the needs of coaches attending.  All courses are open to any coach and preference will be given to coaches based in the county, rather than outside the county. 

In addition to the county programme we will once again hold regional workshops covering high jump, javelin, disability ambulant sprints and jumps. These are open to any coach.

We are once again supporting the North West combined events group to run their sessions; they are open to coaches and athletes wanting to develop their knowledge and experience of combined events.
