Colchester & Tendring AC celebrated the recent Olympic Games by gaining their Accredited Club status. The club based at the Colchester Garson Athletics Stadium, completed the accreditation to a high standard. Leading the club through the process was Stephen Cartwright, the club's Secretary and Schools Liaison Officer.

Ian Kelly the club's Chair said, "Colchester and Tendring AC are very proud to have been awarded Accredited Club status by the national clubmark panel. We have always had the best interest of our athletes at the forefront of our club and it is important to us know that with the guidance of England Athletics we provide all information regarding welfare, safety at a level that is easily accessible to all our members, athletes, parents, coaches and volunteers alike."

The club also works out in the community with satellite clubs running in Clacton and Stanway, helping local children to experience athletics.
