England Athletics are delighted to inform you that Neil Deans has been appointed as our new South Team Leader on a permanent basis from today (16th July).

Neil (pictured right) had recently been asked to provide a short term and purely interim CCSO management role in the South whilst we went through the process of recruitment to provide us with continuity in CCSO delivery in Neil's current area whilst also enabling us to smoothly transition both his move across to the permanent position whilst recruiting his own successor as CCSO.  Rob Earle (pictured below right) has been appointed to cover Middlesex, Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire as CCSO.

England Athletics CEO Chris Jones said, "I would like to wish Neil the very best in this position. Besides the individual qualities that Neil will bring to this role, he has worked tirelessly in his capacity as a CCSO and prior to that as a Performance and Development Coordinator during the past 5 years so he understands our direction of travel and our core priorities as an organisation."
