On Saturday 23rd July the South Yorkshire Athletics Network coordinated an under 11s QuadKids event on the Pop up Arena, sited at Newfield School.

The morning saw 40 under 11s from across the county take part in all four athletics events rotating in groups around each of the activities.  All athletes had their performances recorded, and results are currently being compiled.  The event was supported by a few SYCAA officials who enabled the event to take place, and run smoothly.

It was a great opportunity for the 6 track and field clubs in the county to come together, and compete against each other using the Pop up Arena surface.  All athletes received a goody bag and certificate on the day.

One parent said “This has been fantastic, and was an enjoyable experience for their athlete”.  Another added, “This opportunity should take place more often between the clubs in the county”.
