02.Jul.12 New CCSO to join South Team

  

England Athletics are pleased to announce that Rob Earle will join the South Area Team on 9th July as Club and Coach Support Officer for Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and Middlesex.

With over thirty five years of experience in athletics as an athlete, coach, mentor and conditioning coach, therapist and coach educator, Rob certainly brings a wealth of skills and experiences to the post.

Neil Deans will formally move into the South Team Leader role once Rob starts and Neil is delighted to welcome Rob into the Team.  "Rob is well known to many of the clubs and coaches that he will be working with across the counties and his knowledge and opinions are held in high regard. I’m sure that Rob will be able to build on the progress made in the patch over the last few years and will really impact on the coaches, clubs and networks that he will service."

Neil continued, "As a Level 2 throws and speed coach and as part of the National Coach Development Programme for throws, Rob is already acutely aware of how our Local Coach Development Programme works and his strong mentoring background will ensure that more structured mentoring links will flourish with all the LCDP coaches to allow for the cascading of information across a wide breadth of coaches in his new patch."

Speaking about his appointment, Rob said, "I am delighted to be offered this opportunity to carry on the work that Neil has done in the region.  It is my intention to share and enhance the knowledge I have, with coaches and clubs in the area ."
