Young Kelly Hutchins (P2P Wesport) was in demand by the media ahead of the School Games.  On the morning of competition Kelly was up at 5am – with team mascot – for BBC Breakfast and 5 Live, before finding herself selected to do 6 interviews in all!

F/T37 athlete Kelly recorded a PB of 33.67s, and dropped that again to 33.26s at the Devon County Champs last weekend.  She was first identified through the Playground to Podium programme supported by England Athletics.  P2P is a dedicated initiative designed to identify and nurture disabled young people with the potential to be elite athletes.  It offers a framework to enhance existing player pathways and provide increased opportunities to achieve at the top end of performance.
