16.May.12 Sheffield Running Club receive club accreditation award

Sheffield Running Club have achieved the England Athletics club accreditation award for adult only clubs.  The club applied to reaccredit in Jan 2012 and work hard to achieve the award in 3 months.

CCSO for South Yorkshire Emma Brady, supported the club through the reaccreditation process and presented the award to club members before a training session at Don Valley Stadium, Sheffield.  Pictured is Club President Dave Oldfield receiving the award on behalf of the club.

Mike Levery, Club Secretary for the club worked extremely hard in pulling the folder together commented, "Club Accreditation has once again given us the discipline to make sure we are operating our club in the best interests of our members, ensuring that all our activities are carried out safely, with care and consideration not just for our members but others, and is welcoming to anyone wishing to join Sheffield Running Club regardless of ability, who wants to improve their performance in our sport."
