10.May.12 Cheshire Athletics Network gets a Boost Leading up to Year 3
The Cheshire Athletics Network is really striding forwards with plans for their third year of being a network, there is some real excitement around their future and how it can build upon what has been achieved so far. The third year will see a real focus for sustainability of the track & field and road running forums as well as some exciting opportunities for coaches and clubs!
To mark the end of the Year 2 plan, the network will be hosting an “Off-Road and Endurance Training Day” on the 27th May 2012 which has been led by Spectrum Striders and Macclesfield Harriers who have teamed up to deliver an event that has over 50 people and 11 clubs attending!
The aim of the event is to teach coaches, leaders and runners the techniques to improve running on all terrains, the right food to eat and the right kit to wear! All who attend the day will receive a free LIRF course which is being sponsored by Sport Cheshire (the County Sport Partnership).
