After the success of the first commonwealth championships in Keswick, Cumbria in September 2009, Chairman of the Commonwealth Championship Executive Committee Norman Wilson is pleased to inform us of the sanctioning of the second Commonwealth Championship Ultra distance/Mountain Running to be held in either 2011 or 2013.
 
Norman made the application recently to the CGF for the sanctioning of the second Commonwealth Championships ultra/Mountain Running which was accepted by the CGF Executive council.

Norman reports, "Its was not a straightforward process and needed a lot of work behind the scenes, but I spoke to  Mike Hooper Chief Executive on Friday 11th June, who confirmed the application was successful to stage this event in either 2011 or 2013."
