12.Oct.12 Workshop: a Guide to Recruiting, Developing and Retaining Coaches

With London 2012 encouraging many more to get involved in athletics, now is an ideal opportunity to recruit more coaches and retain existing coaches that dedicate so much time to developing athletes.

Coaching Coordinators, Head Coaches and Coach Managers are invited to attend this workshop delivered by Amy Frith (Club and Coach Support Officer, England Athletics) and Ben Fisher (Coaching Development Manager, Bucks & Milton Keynes Sports Partnership).

The workshop, which has been co-developed with Sports Coach UK will help clubs to successfully recruit, develop and retain local athletics coaches through sharing useful recruitment tools and methods of retaining coaches; all backed-up by examples of good practice from Athletics Clubs across the South.

Following this workshop, England Athletics and Bucks & Milton Keynes Sports Partnership will also be hosting a ‘First Steps In to Coaching’ workshop to recruit new coaches into Athletics across Buckinghamshire.

The workshop takes place on the evening of Wednesday 17th October (7-9pm) at Stoke Mandeville Stadium, Aylesbury.  A downloadable poster is available at the very bottom of this page.  Please book your place no later than end of Sunday 14th October with Amy Frith (CCSO) at afrith@englandathletics.org
