  • 10.Nov.10 Leeds Wheelchair clinics start with a bang

    The Leeds Wheelchair racing training and mentoring clinics started with a bang on 6th November 2010. Welcoming beginners through to experienced wheelchair racers, the session catered for people wanting to come and try the sport and provided a training session for athletes now well into their winter training schedules.

    Area Coach Mentor for Endurance Brian Scobie, alongside Alison Rose and Neil Parsley will lead sessions which aim to help coaches get the best out of their endurance athletes by holding a Strength & Conditioning workshop.

    08.Nov.10 Bradford Athletics Network Celebration evening

    Bradford Athletics Network are hosting an evening on 3rd December to celebrate the success of this Autumn's “Enhanced Training sessions”  - and for adult endurance runners to have an opportunity to share experiences and feedback for future programmes.

    Thursday 4th November saw the Networks from across the North come together with the CCSO team to look at how networks fit in the bigger picture.

  • 05.Nov.10 Leeds Network support wheelchair racing masterclass

    The Leeds Athletics Network organised a master class for wheelchair racing at the John Charles Centre for Sport  recently.  The session was on ‘hard glove building’.  The Athletics Network was also privileged to welcome Great Britain Paralympic Athlete, Shelly Woods.

    Rotherham Harriers, part of the South Yorkshire Athletics Network have helped to organise a successful third schools cross country championship event and identify promising young athletes - which has inspired fellow network partner Doncaster AC to follow suit in their local area.
