20.Dec.10 Wolverhampton and Bilston AC award winners
For almost a decade, Wolverhampton and Bilston AC (WABAC) were the UK’s Number One Men’s Track and Field team. Official recognition came recently when the club received the England Athletics West Midlands Regional Award as the Development Club of the Year for 2010.

20.Sep.10 Network Coordinates QuadKids Competition
Three clubs from the South Staffordshire Athletics Network – Tamworth AC, Stafford Harriers and Burton AC recently took part in the Networks first QuadKids competition held at Shobnall Leisure Complex in Burton on Trent, Staffordshire.

12.Aug.10 Northwood Hurdles Academy announces winter programme
Ted Grey, who is the Coordinator and Chief Coach of the Northwood Hurdles Academy at Stoke on Trent is already preparing for the forthcoming winter programme. England Athletics will once again partially fund the project, where, for the bargain price of just £15, athletes can attend for five Sunday afternoons and benefit from some of the country’s top coaches.

22.Jul.10 Birmingham youngsters meet Olympians
Olympic champion Denise Lewis joined forces with Paralympic bronze medallist Ade Adepitan to bring the curtain down on Lloyds TSB National School Sport Week in Birmingham. As well as the presence of Lewis and Adepitan – who won wheelchair basketball bronze in Athens in 2004 – the Birmingham youngsters were also greeted by London 2012 Paralympic mascot Mandeville.

20.Jul.10 Tom Guy and Feron Sayers Crowned English Schools' Champions
Even though they found it more difficult than usual to get onto the gold standard, athletes from the West Midlands nevertheless accumulated seventeen medals when the AVIVA English Schools' Track and Field Championships returned to the Alexander Stadium in Birmingham.
