    28.Feb.11 St Mary's Endurance Performance and Coaching Centre (EPACC) Coaches Workshops & Open day

    St Mary's Endurance Performance and Coaching Centre (EPACC) - An England Athletics Coach Development Centre for Endurance - in partnership with the Virgin London Marathon (VLM) is holding Coaches Workshops on Sunday 13th March 2011. There is also an Open Day on 12th March.

    11.Feb.11 Weekend coaching action from Sussex network

    The Sussex McCain Athletics Network held a third successful Coach & Athlete Development Day with 52 athletes training and over 30 coaches coaching and observing event specific sessions.  All corners of the track and particularly the indoor gymnasium were full of action for 4 hours nonstop.

  • 08.Feb.11 Ashford AC Alligators celebrate funding for new equipment

    Funding recently awarded to Ashford Athletic Club has been used to provide new sports equipment for athletes who are members of the Ashford Alligators Athletics group, which provides coaching and competition for disabled youngsters.

    The last in a series of three sprints workshops for LCDP coaches across Oxon, Bucks and Berks was very well received. The workshop focused on ‘The First 7 Steps – Starts and Acceleration’ and was delivered by Mike Leonard and Stanley Madiri.

    As part of their 25th Anniversary celebrations, Kingston AC & Polytechnic Harriers, part of the SW London McCain Athletics Network, are holding a weekend which includes an Open Throws Meeting (including events for disabled athletes) plus a number of coaching workshops.

    02.Feb.11 Change of personnel for Sussex Network.

    The start of 2011 sees a change of personnel at the Sussex Athletics Network. Zoe Mckinnon has departed on permanent maternity leave to help build the next generation of Sussex athletes.  Trevor Simcox and Diane Farmer are the newly appointed Network Co-ordinators.
