Sussex athletes took home three Awards from the Sussex Sports Awards at a glittering awards evening at the Brighton Hilton Metropole with over 500 people in attendance.
01.Dec.10 Snow & ice lead to postponing of Awards night

Unfortunately due to the snowy weather conditions the Awards Evening for the South East Region due to be held this evening (1 December) has been postponed.

The end of the track season has seen the first of three Coach and Athlete Talent Introduction Days take place in the South.
16.Oct.10 South East Region Volunteer Awards announced

We are pleased that we are now able to announce the names of all the Regional Awards winners for the South East of England. The 2010 England Athletics National Awards programme sees volunteers recognised for their contributions in supporting the development of the sport.
24.Aug.10 County Assessment Days identify talented young disabled athletes

Throughout June and July fourteen County Athlete Assessment Days have taken place across the South region. The events have been organised as part of the national Playground to Podium framework to identify young disabled pupils in schools.
28.Jul.10 Hampshire coach receives honorary doctorate

In recognition of her work coaching disabled children both locally and at international level, athletics coach Bronwin Carter has been awarded Honorary Degree of Doctor of Laws by the University of Portsmouth.
